Robert-Jonathan Koeyers est réalisateur et artiste multidisciplinaire. Il étudie l’animation à Rotterdam où son film de fin d’études, intitulé Here: a visual poem (2019), est l’esquisse expérimentale et poétique d’une histoire qu’il construira plus tard. Robert-Jonathan utilise le cinéma, la photographie, l’animation et d’autres médias pour faire de ses histoires des œuvres profondément personnelles dont le but est d’examiner comment le fait d’être noir a façonné la personne qu’il est aujourd’hui.

Robert-Jonathan Koeyers is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker. He studied animation in Rotterdam where he graduated with an experimental film titled ‘Here: A Visual Poem’ (2019), which served as a poetic telling of a larger story that he would set out to make. Robert-Jonathan has been using film, photography, animation, and other mediums to help turn his stories into deeply personal projects that aim to unpack how his Blackness has shaped and molded him into the person he is.
