Thibaut MONNIER est un réalisateur, scénariste et acteur.
Il est connu pour WOZO (2021, Réalisateur / Scénariste / Acteur principal).
Né à Mons (Belgique) en 1982, il a fait des études universitaires en journalisme écrit et audiovisuel à l’Université libre de Bruxelles et il s’est spécialisé dans le domaine du reportage journalistique et montage en faisant des stages à la télévision locale de Mons et ensuite au sein de la société de production Four Corners aux Pays-Bas. En 2013, il a été éngagé comme chargé de communication visuelle par le Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement en Haïti, pendant lequel, il a été chargé de développer l’image de l’organisation en produisant des reportages vidéos/photos des projets de terrain. Il a remporté le premier prix de l’innovation attribué par l’ONU pour les reportages mettant en avant l’impact des projets innovants sur le terrain. Par la suite, son travail a été publié lors du Sommet mondial sur l’Innovation du 14 au 16 novembre 2015 au Montenegro. Au vu des échecs répétitifs de l’ONU en Haiti, il a démissionné fin 2015 afin de mettre en avant une critique sur les dérives de la Communauté Internationale en Haiti à travers la réalisation de son premier long-métrage de docu-fiction WOZO (2021).
Pour ce film (il y joue le rôle principal de Boris), il a obtenu le Prix de la Meilleure Interprétation Masculine au FESTICAB 2022 (Burundi).

Born in Mons (Belgium) in 1982, he studied written and audiovisual journalism at the Free University of Brussels and specialized in the field of journalistic reporting and editing by doing internships at the local television of Mons and then at the production company Four Corners in the Netherlands. In 2013, he was hired as a visual communication officer by the United Nations Development Program in Haiti, during which he was responsible for developing the image of the organization by producing video/photo reports of the projects of ground. He won the first prize for innovation awarded by the UN for reports highlighting the impact of innovative projects on the ground. Subsequently, his work was published at the Global Innovation Summit from November 14 to 16, 2015 in Montenegro. In view of the repeated failures of the UN in Haiti, he resigned at the end of 2015 in order to highlight a criticism of the excesses of the International Community in Haiti through the production of WOZO (2021), his first docu-fiction feature film.
For this film (he stars Boris, the main character), he won the Best Actor Award at 2022 FESTICAB (Burundi).
