Thomas Dulac, né le 25 mai 1969, est un moniteur d’escalade et guide de haute montagne français. Il intervient aussi comme conférencier, journaliste, auteur de guides de randonnées.
Tout a commencé quand, à l'âge de 17 ans, il lit Premier de cordée de Frison-Roche. Il décide alors de devenir guide. La première escalade a lieu sur les falaises de Notre-Dame du Cros dans l'Aude avec son prof de sports du lycée. C'est ensuite avec Dominique Sauvage du Club alpin français de Carcassonne qu'il s'initie à l'alpinisme dans les Pyrénées : bivouacs dans la neige, pitonnage en paroi, ski de randonnées… Parti étudier à Grenoble dans les Alpes, il reviendra en fait avec son diplôme d'accompagnateur moyenne montagne en poche. Il devient ensuite moniteur d'escalade, pisteur-secouriste et aspirant-guide de haute montagne. Voulant faire partager sa passion aux autres, il ouvre et équipe des voies, et édite un premier topo d'escalade sur le massif des Pyrénées orientales, puis un autre sur les Aiguilles rouges avec son ami Godefroy Perroux, qui rencontre un vif succès auprès des grimpeurs.
Le Sahara, en Algérie, sera son terrain de jeu où il a vécu près de 9 mois, et ouvert de nombreuses voies d'escalade. Il publie en 2005 le topo-guide Escalade au Sahara: Massif du Hoggar qui recense avec précision les voies parcourues sur les soixante-dix années d'exploration verticale. Emaillé de nombreux croquis et photos, il fourni les descriptifs techniques, les conditions d'accès et des informations pratiques d'ordre plus général, relatives au sud algérien, au désert ou à la culture locale.
À la naissance de sa fille, Thomas devient gardien au Refuge des Cortalets, au coeur du pays catalan et du massif du Canigou, dans les Pyrénées.

It all began when, at the age of 17, he read Frison-Roche's "Premier de cordée." He then decided to become a guide. His first climb took place on the cliffs of Notre-Dame du Cros in the Aude department with his high school sports teacher. He then learned mountaineering in the Pyrenees with Dominique Sauvage of the French Alpine Club of Carcassonne: bivouacs in the snow, pitonnage, and ski touring. He went to study in Grenoble in the Alps and returned with his mid-mountain guide diploma in hand. He went on to become a climbing instructor, ski patroller, and aspiring mountain guide. Wanting to share his passion with others, he opened and equipped routes, and published his first climbing guidebook on the Pyrénées Orientales massif, then another on the Aiguilles Rouges with his friend Godefroy Perroux, which was a great success with climbers.
The Sahara, in Algeria, would become his playground, where he lived for nearly nine months and opened numerous climbing routes. In 2005, he published the guidebook Climbing in the Sahara: Hoggar Massif, which precisely lists the routes he had climbed over seventy years of vertical exploration. Filled with numerous sketches and photos, it provides technical descriptions, access conditions, and more general practical information relating to southern Algeria, the desert, and local culture.
After the birth of his daughter, Thomas became a caretaker at the Refuge des Cortalets, in the heart of Catalan country and the Canigou massif in the Pyrenees.
