Avec une formation en droit, Funmbi se concentre sur la construction de l'écosystème derrière l'écran, le développement des talents locaux et l'architecture de nouvelles possibilités pour les industries créatives africaines.
Elle est une des fondateurs de la société Fatherland Productions (Lagos, Nigéria).
