Alain Ekollo s'inspire du social, de la guerre, la maladie, la souffrance, mais aussi de la musique.
Né le 28 décembre 1974 à Douala il y a toujours vécu.Il commence à s'intéresser à l'art en 1991 lors d'un festival des arts à Douala IV où il est primé.Cette expérience lui permet de rencontrer de nombreux artistes qui vont le guider dans son apprentissage et son évolution. Il crée le collectif "New Art" avec l'aide d'autres artistes et donne parallèlement des cours d'arts plastiques. Il fait également partie du groupe d'artistes "Elolombé" avec lequel il a réalisé une exposition à la galerie Doual'art.Cet autodidacte utilise des matériaux de récupération (toile, taule, planches?) faisant partie de son identité.Alain Ekollo est décédé le 1er septembre 2004.
