Nelson Foix est un scénariste et réalisateur basé en Guadeloupe dont l’univers s’articule entre culture antillaise et culture urbaine.
Initialement, il se destinait à une carrière de sportif professionnel. Suite à plusieurs rencontres, telles Euzhan Palcy et Mohamed Hamidi qui l’aiguilleront respectivement, il se consacre alors à sa carrière de cinéaste.
Il est convaincu que le cinéma est un art total qui saura répondre à son besoin d’expression, qui l’habite depuis son plus jeune âge, en alliant ses différentes passions. Il débute sa carrière en réalisant de nombreux clips.
TIMOUN AW (2020, Sélection Officielle César 2022) est son troisième court-métrage de fiction et le premier à bénéficier d’une production professionnelle. ZION (2025) est son premier long métrage fiction, le film sort en salles le 09 avril 2025.
Nelson Foix a grandi entre la Guadeloupe et la banlieue parisienne.
Né en 1993 aux Lilas, en Seine-Saint-Denis (Région parisienne, France), Nelson passera ses trois premières années à Trois-Rivières, en Guadeloupe. Il repartira vivre à Bondy en Seine-Saint-Denis où il passera son enfance. Plus grand, il retournera en Guadeloupe, puis regagnera Bondy après le baccalauréat. C’est en 2016 qu’il posera définitivement ses valises dans le quartier Bergevin de Pointe-à-Pitre avec femme et enfants.

Nelson Foix is a screenwriter and director based in Guadeloupe whose universe revolves between Caribbean culture and urban culture.
Initially, he intended to pursue a career as a professional athlete. Following several meetings, such as Euzhan Palcy and Mohamed Hamidi who will encourage him respectively, he then dedicates himself to his career as a filmmaker.
He is convinced that cinema is a total art that will be able to meet his need for expression, which inhabits him from an early age, by combining his different passions. He started his career by making many clips.
TIMOUN AW (2020, César 2022 Official Selection) is his third short fiction film and the first to benefit from a professional production. ZION (2025) is his first feature-length fiction film, released on April 9, 2025.
Nelson Foix grew up between Guadeloupe and the suburbs of Paris.
Born in 1993 in Lilas, Seine-Saint-Denis (Paris region, France), Nelson spent his first three years in Trois-Rivières, Guadeloupe. He will go back to live in Bondy in Seine-Saint-Denis where he will spend his childhood. Older, he will return to Guadeloupe and then return to Bondy after the baccalaureate. In 2016, he will definitely leave his suitcases in the Bergevin district of Pointe-à-Pitre with his wife and children.
