The Institute of National Museums of Rwanda (INMR) is a government institution, which was inaugurated in September 18, 1989 with one ethnographic museum based in Huye-Butare under the name of National Museum of Rwanda.

Vision
Provide museums and heritage sites around the country with a platform for education and exposing Rwandan Cultural and Natural richness.

Mission
The INMR’s mission is to collect, preserve, research and present Rwandese past and present cultural and natural national heritage.
