La Compagnie théâtrale Bou-Saana est une association de droit sénégalais sans but lucratif. Elle est basée à Ziguinchor (Casamance – Sud du Sénégal) et a été créée en 1995. Elle possède une antenne à Saint-Louis du Sénégal et en France. Elle mène depuis plusieurs années des actions d’animation/formation en théâtre et de professionnalisation de comédiens. Elle organise aussi des formations et rencontres dans d’autres disciplines artistiques. Régulièrement, elle crée des spectacles. La plupart traitent des grands maux de la société (corruption, abus de pouvoir, despotisme, exploitation des enfants, génocide …).

Ces créations théâtrales ont pour objectifs de sensibiliser, informer, dénoncer, rétablir la vérité des faits trop souvent déformés et malmenés par la « grande » presse. Les spectacles sont la plupart du temps accompagnés d’actions parallèles :

– Débats et rencontres avec les publics, dans les établissements scolaires, les comités d’entreprise etc.
– Expositions
– Dossier de réflexion pour la préparation des publics, notamment collégiens et lycéens

Nous voulons permettre une réflexion personnelle et individuelle, à partir d’éléments justes, sans dramatisation excessive, sans larmoiement, sur les phénomènes « inquiétants » de la société humaine, dont ceux de violence.

La compagnie Bou-Saana anime également des ateliers de théâtre dans des quartiers de Ziguinchor en liaison avec des Organisations Non Gouvernementales et des associations. En 2005 et 2006, la compagnie Bou-Saana a organisé divers ateliers de création artistique dans le cadre de l’opération francophone «la caravane des dix mots » (cf. chapitre correspondant dans ce site). En 2007, plusieurs de ses comédiens participeront à un stage de création en Italie.

Depuis 2002, la compagnie s’est présentée et a travaillé sur divers projets culturels associatifs en France, en Italie, en Suisse, au Bénin, en Guinée-Bissau, en Gambie et au Sénégal bien sûr. Voir historique et tournées.

En mai 2007 elle a réalisé à Ziguinchor la première édition d’un Festival International de Théâtre pour la Paix. La prochaine édition est déjà programmée.

The spectacles are accompanied most of the time by parallel actions: – DEBATEs and meetings with the public ones, in the schools, the work’s councils etc – Exposures – File of reflexion for the preparation of public, in particular schoolboys and high-school pupils We want to allow a personal and individual reflexion, starting from right elements, without excessive dramatization, without whimpering, on the “worrying” phenomena of the human society, of which those of violence. The Bou-Saana company also animates workshops of theatre in districts of Ziguinchor in connection with Governmental organizations and associations. In 2005 and 2006, the Bou-Saana company organized various workshops of artistic creation within the framework of the French-speaking operation “the caravan of the ten words” (cf chapter corresponding in this site). In 2007, several of its actors will take part in a training course of creation in Italy. Since 2002, the company was presented and worked on various associative cultural projects in France, in Italy, in Switzerland, with Benin, in Guinea-Bissau, in Gambia and in Senegal of course.
