Une jeune femme vierge, née d’une femme qui a été tuée par des chasseurs de sorcières, une adolescente venue de Brooklyn (New York) et un réalisateur myope. Ces vies de ces trois individus disparates se croisent tragiquement alors qu’ils essaient de frayer chacun son chemin dans les rues de la capitale du Sierra Leone déchiquetées par la guerre qui vient de se finir : Freetown.
Le titre est un jeu de mots sur le nom de la ville : « libérer la ville ».

A mosaic of stories, three strangers collide as they negotiate their identities in the midst of witch hunting fervor: a native girl, A Brooklyn teen, and a myopic filmmaker collide in the unforgiving streets of Freetown, Sierra Leone.

We meet a local virgin, born of a mother who was murdered at the hands of witch hunters, a Brooklyn teen and a myopic filmmaker. These disparate individuals’ lives tragically intersect in an effort to navigate the formerly war torn streets of Sierra Leone’s capital city: Freetown.
