Un documentaire qui nous plonge au coeur du djihadisme au Mali.

Que disent les idéologues radicaux qui façonnent la pensée de milliers de jihadistes ? Pour le montrer, François Margolin et Lemine Ould M. Salem sont partis à leur rencontre au Mali, dans Gao et Tombouctou occupés avec le chef jihadiste Oumar Ould Hamaha d’Ansar al-Charia, en Mauritanie avec les prêches d’un jeune imam de Nouakchott, puis en Tunisie. Le document brut montre aussi des images de propagande de Daech, sans commentaire ni voix off. Les auteurs font le pari de laisser le spectateur seul face à la rhétorique salafiste, pour bien comprendre ce à quoi nous sommes confrontés.

François Margolin and Lemine Ould M. Salem expose the radical ideologists indoctrinating thousands of jihadists. They venture to Gao and Timbuktu in Mali to meet Omar Ould Hamaha, head of jihadist group Ansar al-Sharia; to Mauritania, to meet a young imam from Nouakchott; and finally to Tunisia. The raw documentary also displays ISIS’s propaganda images, bereft of commentary or voiceover; the creators have taken the risk of confronting the audience with the unedited Salafist rhetoric, for a greater understanding of what we are up against.
