Queens, New York. Fourteen-year-old Milo is an outsider. Orphaned, ignored by his schoolmates and bullied by older kids, he takes refuge in the apartment he shares with his older brother. To escape his solitude, he immerses himself in the world of the vampire. Milo hides a dark secret, but a chance encounter with new neighbour Sophie leads him to develop new feelings. But is this enough to quash his dark urges?
A surprising anti-horror film with an absence of the supernatural. It focuses on the suffering of a teenager and his efforts to invent an invulnerable persona to shield and ultimately release him.

Queens w Nowym Jorku. 14-letni Milo jest outsiderem, sierotą ignorowanym przez szkolnych kolegów i zastraszanym przez starszych chłopaków. Jego schronieniem staje się mieszkanie, które dzieli ze starszym bratem. Aby uciec od samotności, zanurza się w świecie wampirów. Milo skrywa też mroczny sekret. Pewnego dnia, spotyka nową sąsiadkę Sophie. Czy chęć zbliżenia się do niej będzie silniejsza i pozwoli na stłumienie mrocznych pragnień?
Zaskakujący anty horror pozbawiony sił nadprzyrodzonych. Skupia się na cierpieniach nastolatka i jego staraniach, by stworzyć postać, która będzie w stanie go ochronić i ostatecznie uwolnić od przeszłości.
