Dans une ville ouvrière de l’île Maurice, le vieux Bolom a disparu. Son fils Ronaldo se lance à sa recherche et croise la route d’Ajeya, une travailleuse immigrée indienne. Lui rêve d’une vie de golden boy, elle fuit sa condition d’esclave moderne. Ensemble, leur traversée nocturne de l’île prend une nouvelle dimension, entre voyage mystique et désir de liberté.

In a working-class city of Mauritius, old Bolom has disappeared. His son Ronaldo sets out to find him and crosses paths with Ajeya, an Indian immigrant worker. He dreams of a golden boy’s life, she flees her condition of a modern slave. Together, their nocturnal crossing of the island takes on a new dimension, between a mystical journey and a desire for freedom.
