Le poids des pressions internes et externes d’Andrea Licari, y compris sa santé défaillante, le repousse vers sa ville natale de Djerba, près de Tunis. La tâche de réaliser le dernier souhait de sa mère (ramener ses cendres dans son lointain lieu de naissance) est remplie de nombreux souvenirs difficiles à surmonter. Island of Forgiveness (The)
To be able to fulfill his late mother’s wish, Andrea must face his demons in order to find peace in his raging soul, so he can forgive himself and those who hurt him.
Andrea Licari, a Tunisian of Italian descent now 60 years of age, has become an accomplished author, college professor and a leading thinker in Rome. Today, Andrea finds himself facing the most challenging time of his life.
The weight of Andrea Licari’s internal and external pressures including his failing health thrusts him back to his birth place of Djerba, Túnis. The task of fulfilling his mother’s wish to bring her ashes back to her estranged birth place is filled with numerous tough memories to overcome. There, Andrea must face his demons in order to find peace in his raging soul and be able to forgive himself and those who haunted his entire existence.
