Un village du Maroc. Un garçon de 14 ans secret parle de pierres bleues qui existeraient quelque part dans le désert. Ses certitudes sèment le trouble parmi les habitants du village et les autres enfants le persécutent. Seul un vieil homme le soutient et l'encourage à avoir confiance en lui-même. Il y a parfois des façons très simples de dire des choses complexes: ce court métrage parle de la conviction, du regard des autres et de l'enfance avec élégance et économie. Najib is obsessed with the idea that there are huge blue stones in the desert. Young people his age are making fun of him, his father disowns him, and the public figures in the village condemn him to a lonely life. Najib is seen as a maniac. It is only the marabout that will see his brilliant mind and encourage him to keep chasing his stones. The movie is an ode to those heroes seeking the truth, to the noble and under-rated minds, to determination, and to the power of those who go against the flow.
