L’année 1919 marqua le réveil du peuple égyptien lorsque celui-ci se révolta contre l’occupation anglaise. La famille d’Ahmed Abdel Gawad, reflet de la société égyptienne, révèle ses personnalités contradictoires. Au cours de ces événements, Fahmy sacrifie l’amour profond qu’il voue à Maryam pour répondre à l’appel de la patrie et mourir en martyr.

Ahmed Abdel Gawad’s family, a reflection of Egyptian society, reveals its own contradictory personalities. During these events, Fahmy sacrifices his deep love for Maryam to answer the call of the fatherland and die as a martyr.
