Léo Kalinda

Journaliste à l’émission d’affaires publiques Dimanche magazine, Léo Kalinda a fait son entré à Radio-Canada en 1976 où il a collaboré à différentes émissions, tant à la radio qu’à la télé. Il était de la première année de La grande traversée et de l’équipe de Présent dimanche, l’ancêtre de Dimanche magazine. Il a été également des éditions nationale et internationale de Présent. Il a travaillé au Point, à Première page, à Dossiers hebdos, aux Vingt heures et a été reporter à l’émission Nord-Sud, à la télévision de Radio-Québec. Léo est corécipiendaire du Grand prix international du reportage télé du CIRTEF en 1986, pour la série Afrique du Sud, quatre portraits sous l’apartheid. En 2006, il réalise le film « Mères courage », sur les survivantes du génocide du Rwanda, qui a reçu divers prix.
Kalinda est l’auteur de Naciye ku ndahiro, publié en 2001 par l’association Ibarwa à Kigali.

Rwandan Filmmaker and Journalist.

A journalist for the public affairs program, Dimanche magazine, Léo Kalinda began working for Radio-Canada in 1976, where he worked on various radio and television programs. He was part of the first year of La grande traversée and on the team of Présent dimanche, the predecessor of Dimanche magazine. He was also part of the national and international editions of Présent. He has worked for Le Point, Première page, Dossiers hebdos, Vingt heures and was a reporter on the program Nord-Sud at Radio-Québec television. Léo was the co-recipient of the CIRTEF’s Grand prix international du reportage télé award in 1986 for the series Afrique du Sud, four portrayals of life under apartheid. In 2006, he directed « Mères courage » about survivors of the Rwandan genocide, which won various awards.
