Jamshid Golmakani

Jamshid Golmakani est né en 1957 en Iran. De 1977 à 1981, il travaille en tant que rédacteur-photographe aux rubriques reportages et politique du quotidien iranien « Ayandegan » et pour le mensuel « Jahangard ». Lui, comme des centaines de milliers d’Iraniens fuit son pays et se trouve en France où il poursuit ses études et obtient en 1998 un Doctorat en Cinéma et Télévision à la Sorbonne. Parallèlement à son travail universitaire, il réalise des documentaires pour la télévision française. Ses films portent un regard de l’intérieur et aussi des informations tangibles sur les sujets traités.

Jamshid Golmakani was born in 1957 in Iran. From 1977 to 1981 he worked as photo-journalist for the reports and politics section of the Iranian daily « Ayandegan » and for the monthly « Jahangard ». In 1982, like hundreds of thousands of Iranians, he fled his country and fund him in France and continued his studies, obtaining in 1998 a Doctorate in Cinema and Television at the Sorbonne University. Simultaneously with his academic work, he directed documentaries for French television. His films are marked by a view from the inside as well as concrete information on the subjects they deal with.
