Gentille Assih

Gentille M. ASSIH est Auteure-Réalisatrice d’origine Togolaise, née le 2 avril 1979. Très tôt passionnée par le cinéma, elle suit une formation de technicienne en infographie et en direction de Photo en 2001. Après, elle apprend l’écriture et la réalisation de film documentaire de création avec Africadoc, en 2006, à St Louis du Sénégal. Elle fait parallèlement, un BTS en communication (à l’Institut Africaine d’Étude Commerciale). Et en 2009, elle obtient une licence en Gestion de Ressources Humaines.

Pendant 2 ans, Gentille travaille dans une agence de communication, avant de créer l’établissement WORLD FILMS. Elle réalise, en 2009, son premier film documentaire intitulé ITCHOMBI produit par Ardèche images production. La même année, elle produit et réalise le court métrage fiction : BIDENAM, l’espoir d’un village réalisé avec le soutien du Goethe-Institut de Johannesburg. Elle prépare actuellement son futur long métrage documentaire dont le titre provisoire est le rite, la folle et moi.

Gentille M. ASSIH is a writer-director of Togolese origin, born on 2 April 1979. Very early on, she was fascinated by cinema and trained as a computer graphics technician and photo director in 2001. Afterwards, she learnt writing and directing of creative documentary films with Africadoc, in 2006, in St Louis, Senegal. At the same time, she did a BTS in communication (at the African Institute of Commercial Studies). And in 2009, she obtained a degree in Human Resources Management.

For two years, Gentille worked in a communication agency before creating WORLD FILMS. In 2009, she directed her first documentary film entitled ITCHOMBI produced by Ardèche images production. The same year, she produced and directed the short fiction film: BIDENAM, l’espoir d’un village (Hope for a Village), made with the support of the Goethe Institute of Johannesburg. She is currently preparing her future feature documentary, the provisional title of which is le rite, la folle et moi.
