Axel Guyot

Producteur français (Les Films d’Avalon / Mordred, Paris).

Après des études de cinéma à la Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris III) et à l’E.S.R.A, Axel Guyot réalise des films institutionnels et devient directeur de production dans une société de productions de clips, Avanti Rapido. Puis il fonde Viridiana Productions en 1993 et produit une vingtaine de courts-métrages de fiction et d’animation (Diva et Pianiste, Migration, Mon placard, entre autres) ainsi que des séries d’animation et de Special TV pour l’unité court de Canal+. En 2002, il rejoint Philippe Braunstein aux films d’Avalon en continuant sa recherche de nouveaux talents via le court-métrage et développe avec eux plusieurs projets de long-métrages, dont Pop Redemption, Papaotel, et Cal.9. Il s’attache actuellement à trouver une réponse à la problématique du financement des scripts à travers une nouvelle structure et des capitaux privés, considérant le scénario comme une activité stratégique, sous financée et sous estimée en France. Il joue aussi du jazz au sein d’un groupe à Montreuil.

French Producer (Les Films d’Avalon / Mordred, Paris).

After studiing the cinema at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University (Paris III) and at the E.S.R.A., Axel Guyot directed films corporation, and became the production manager of a video clip production company, Avanti Rapido. Then he founded Viridiana Productions in 1993, and produced some 20 fiction and animated shorts (Diva and Pianist, Migration, My Closet, and many more), as well as animated series and TV specials for the shorts unit at Canal+ TV. In 2002, he joined Philippe Braunstein at Avalon Films while he kept looking for new talents through shorts. He developped several projects for feature films with them, among them Pop Redemption, Papaotel, and Cal.9. Currently, he is working at finding a solution for the financing of screenplays through a new structure and private funds, considering the screenplay as a strategic activity, under-funded and under-esteemded in France. He also plays jazz in a band in Montreuil.
