My Story
Shameik is proud to be recognized as a young talent emerging out of Atlanta. Our city has experienced a great entertainment boom in the last few years. A lot of talented hopefuls have flocked following the studios, but there has always been great local talent waiting to be discovered in Atlanta.
Shameik’s excelled at his craft since he was just a kid. At 12-years-old Shameik had formed a team that included Chyna Williams and Johnny Lofton, co-founders of We Entertain, his parents Errol and Sharon Moore, and later brought in longtime family Friend and former business associate Rinita, owner of « Bad News Entertainment. »
As a preteen he was already making moves, filming v-logs for thousands of YouTube fans and heading a dance crew called « Young Superstars. » As a dancer he was featured in some of the biggest hits of the day, including Soulja Boy’s « Crank That Superman » and Kari Hilson’s « Turning Me On » featuring Lil Wayne. Shameik’s « Lookie Look » choreography submission garnered over 80,000 hits when he was just 13-years-
After Shameik attended his first « Dance Invasion » showcase in Atlanta he was indefinitely hooked. Although he was just a kid, he was pulled into a world where he felt free to explore his creative whims, a world where his creativity was always encouraged. It was at this showcase that he met Collizion Crew, who’ve been featured on MTV’s ABDC as well as several major films and industry tours. Shameik clicked with the crew and over the years formed a deep bond with the guys. He would spend hours watching them work on their choreography, emulating their moves and excelling at each of their individual styles. He was determined to not just be as good as his big brothers, but better, and that attitude and drive was always encouraged by the crew who saw Shameik grow up.
We have worked with Shameik since he was just a young hyperactive 12-year-old kid with a dream to entertain. As he grew older and became better acquainted with his own personality and traits, he began to dabble in different methods of artistic expression.
When he decided to act, it wasn’t long until opportunities came knocking, Shameik expanded his creative his team working with acting agent Annet McCroskey and acting manage Yazmine. He landed a starring role as a series regular on Nick Cannon’s Cartoon Network sketch comedy series « Incredible Crew. » He followed with guest spots on Tyler Perry’s hit series « House of Pain » and BET’s « Reed Between The Lines. » Shameik has also been featured in the Hallmark film « The Watsons go to Birmingham » and « Joyful Noise »alongside Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton.
When he decided to act, it wasn’t long until opportunities came knocking, Shameik expanded his creative his team working with acting agent Annet McCroskey and acting manage Yazmine. He landed a starring role as a series regular on Nick Cannon’s Cartoon Network sketch comedy series « Incredible Crew. » He followed with guest spots on Tyler Perry’s hit series « House of Pain » and BET’s « Reed Between The Lines. » Shameik has also been featured in the Hallmark film « The Watsons go to Birmingham » and « Joyful Noise »alongside Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton.
When he decided to pursue film, Shameik sent over 100 film audition tapes. Persistent, determined and stubbornly positive, Shameik knew that it was just a matter of time before media frenzy would want to learn about this Young King. When Shameik landed the lead role in the independent film « Dope » he knew that something had shifted. Immediately drawn to the plot and style of Famuyiwa’s film he knew this film would make a mark in his career because it also allowed him to express himself through his other great passion, music. Just a few weeks after learning he’d been casted, Shameik found himself recording original music for the movie’s soundtrack with Pharrell Williams. You could say it was fate- there is so much of Shameik in Malcolm that for those of us who know him after seeing the film we just can’t imagine anyone else playing that role. Shameik has always been his own person. His own motivator. A kid with his own passions and goals who didn’t care about fitting into a role that was expected.
When Shameik decided he wanted to make music we fully supported him in his decision and we opened up the music facility for his exploration. Shameik’s father built a commercial in house state of the art recording studio where Shameik was shown how to write, produce, create and perfect his sound all under the guidance of his father Errol Moore. In this studio is where Super-Producer T. Black »The Hit Maker » and Shameik Moore « King SAM » came together and created « 30058 » Movie/Book. Shameik is the type of person who has no boundaries and no limits. He has a need to create and he doesn’t confine himself to just one Avenue. Where many people doubt themselves or fear exploring new avenues, he is inspired by new challenges and always looking to learn something new, to excel at a new challenge. His debut mixtape « I Am Da Beat » hosted by DJ Greg Street, debuted in 2012 to over 100,000 downloads. His new project « 30058 »- to be released this Summer- is an homage to his upbringing in Stone Mountain/Atlanta Georgia and his opportunity to share with the world a raw look at where he comes from and where he hopes to go.
We are thrilled to see Shameik get the support for his phenomenal performance in « Dope, » and excited as the world gets to see Shameik as the multifaceted artist he has trained his whole life to be. He is a young Creative Being with his feet firmly planted and a motivation to succeed like few we’ve ever come across.
