Claudia Sainte-Luce

Réalisatrice, Scénariste, Actrice et productrice haitienne-mexicaine.
Née á Veracruz au Mexique en 1982, Claudia Sainte-Luce étudie les arts audiovisuels à l’université de Guadalajara dont elle est diplômée en 2004. En 2005, elle participe au festival de Guanajuato dans le Rally Malayerba. L’épreuve consiste à réaliser un court métrage en 24 heures. Elle présente un film intitulé « Muerte Anunciada », qui reçoit le Prix du Public, le Prix du meilleur acteur et une mention du jury. Depuis 2007, elle travaille comme assistante de direction. « Les drôles de poissons-chats » [2013] est son premier long-métrage. En 2017, elle sort son second long métrage « Jazmin et Toussaint », avec Jimmy Jean-Louis, elle-même et Pablo Sigal dans les rôles principaux.

Haitian Mexican Filmmaker and Actress.

After majoring in Audiovisual Arts at the Guadalajara University in 2004, she has worked as a direction assistant in numerous TV commercials and TV series such as Capadocia and Terminale, as well as in the films Te extraño and Te presento a Laura. She participated in the short film Muerte anunciada during the Rally Malayerba, 2005, and she produced the short film El milagrito de San Jacinto, between 2006 and 2007. In March, 2011, she took part in the 17th Scriptwriting Laboratory with her script Encuentro, which would later become the feature film Los insólitos peces gato and receive the Critic’s Award at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013, among many other international distinctions.
Her second feature was released in 2017: The Empty Box (La Caja Vacia / Jazmin et Toussaint) starring Jimmy Jean-Louis, herself and Pablo Sigal, in the main cast.

Egresada de la Lic. en Artes Audiovisuales en la Universidad de Guadalajara en 2004. Ha trabajado como asistente de dirección en diversos anuncios de televisión, series como Capadocia y Terminales y las películas Te extraño y Te presento a Laura. Participó en el cortometraje Muerte anunciada en el Rally Malayerba del 2005 y produjo el corto El milagrito de San Jacinto entre 2006 y 2007. En Marzo del 2011 formó parte del 17º Laboratorio de escritura de Guiones con el guión de Encuentro, que se convertiría en la película Los insólitos peces gato, ganadora del premio de la crítica en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto en 2013, entre muchos otros reconocimientos internacionales.
