Imen Ben Hassine est une réalisatrice tunisienne. Elle est diplômée de Cinecours Canada et a travaillé comme animatrice à la chaîne allemande ZDF. Son parcours combine réalisation audiovisuelle et intérêt pour des questions sociales, politiques et intimes rarement abordées frontalement dans le cinéma tunisien.



Elle réalise le court métrage Le Rouge de la brume, consacré à l'inceste, thème qu'elle traite comme une question de silence, de violence et de mémoire. Elle poursuit ce travail avec son premier long métrage de fiction, Kadar, également connu sous les titres The Sons of the Lord et Kadar The Sons of the Lord.



Dans Kadar, Imen Ben Hassine construit un thriller politique autour d'un médecin légiste contraint de falsifier des autopsies par une organisation secrète. Le film interroge les réseaux mafieux, la corruption, le trafic d'armes, l'emprise de pouvoirs occultes et la dépossession politique des sociétés du tiers-monde. Sorti en Tunisie en 2022, il obtient le premier prix du Festival du film maghrébin d'Amsterdam en 2023 et connaît une sortie en salles françaises en 2026.

Imen Ben Hassine is a Tunisian director. She graduated from Cinecours Canada and worked as a television presenter for the German channel ZDF. Her career combines audiovisual directing with an interest in social, political and intimate issues that are seldom addressed directly in Tunisian cinema.



She directed the short film Le Rouge de la brume, about incest, addressing it through questions of silence, violence and memory. She continued this approach with her first fiction feature, Kadar, also known as The Sons of the Lord and Kadar The Sons of the Lord.



In Kadar, Imen Ben Hassine builds a political thriller around a forensic pathologist forced by a secret organisation to falsify autopsy reports. The film questions mafia networks, corruption, arms trafficking, the grip of hidden powers and the political dispossession of societies in the Global South. Released in Tunisia in 2022, it won First Prize at the Amsterdam Maghreb Film Festival in 2023 and received a French theatrical release in 2026.
