Née en Inde, diplômé de la School of Visual Arts à New York, Rajita a eu son Master en Film & TV Producing à la Royal Holloway (University of London).
En 2010, elle s’associe avec le cinéaste britannique Barney Platts-Mills pour créer une société, MIRAJ FILMS, basée à Londres.

Born in India, a graduate from School of Visual Arts in New York, Rajita completed her MA in Film & TV Producing at Royal Holloway -University of London.

Along with line-producing, developing and co-producing features and documentaries, she has produced shorts on Bedouin tribes in Israel, deaf children in India, socialist and political British films for b3media funded by the UK Film Council. Her films have won more than 15 awards, which include Grand Prizes from National Geographic, International Womens Film Festival and Hong Kong Film Festival. They have also officially premiered at BFI London Film Festival, Palm Spring Festival, Dresden Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival etc.

In 2010 Rajita was one of six producers selected from across Europe for The Bureau Film Company’s « Save Our Scripts » (SOS) scheme. The SOS programme is supported by the MEDIA Investment Programme and Skillset’s Film Skills Fund, with the aim of nurturing new talent and developing innovative and distinctive screenplays.

Rajita is now dedicted to expanding the company and developing new projects with exciting talent from the UK.
