Silvana SANTAMARIA est une réalisatrice, scénariste et productrice allemande résidant à Berlin. Elle a étudié de 2004 à 2010 à la Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, où elle a rencontré ses partenaires de Soilfilms. En 2010, elle était l'une des deux boursières de l'Académie des Arts de Berlin dans la section "Film-Art". De 2007 à 2010, elle a été boursière de la Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung pendant ses études. Elle a réalisé avec succès des films primés comme "On Sufferance" et "Nowhere.Kosovo". Ses derniers films sont les productions "A Part Of Me" (2015-2017) (réalisatrice, scénariste et productrice), "Franco's Legacy - Spain's Stolen Children" (2016) (productrice) et le long métrage "Land of Light" (2013 -2016) (producteur), qui a été tourné à la frontière turco-syrienne en 2014. De 2011 à 2012, Silvana Santamaria a réalisé le court métrage fiction primé "Her letter to the wedding (Sa lettre au mariage)" avec Corinna Harfouch dans le rôle principal.
Elle a produit le long métrage fiction SHARAF (2021) réalisé par Samir Nasr, une coproduction égyptienne-tunisienne-allemande-française tournée en Tunisie.

Silvana SANTAMARIA is a film director, screenwriter and producer.

She is known for ON SUFFERANCE (2007, Réalisatrice, Director), UNE PART DE MOI / A PART OF ME (2018, Co-screenwriter / Co-Director / Co-Productrice), SHARAF (2021, Executive Producer / Productrice Déléguée).

She is residing in Berlin. She studied from 2004-2010 at the Film Acadamy Baden-Württemberg, where she met her partners of Soilfilms. In 2010 she was one of two scholarship holders at the Academy of Arts in Berlin in the „Film-Art"section. From 2007-2010 she was a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung during her studies. She successfully directed award winning films like "On Sufferance" and "Nowhere.Kosovo". Her latest films are the productions "A Part Of Me" (2015-2017) (director, writer and producer), "Franco's Legacy - Spain's Stolen Children" (2016) (producer) and the feature film "Land of Light" (2013-2016) (producer), which was shot on the Turkish/Syrian border in 2014. From 2011 to 2012, Silvana Santamaria directed the award winning short film "Her letter to the wedding" with Corinna Harfouch in the leading role.
She has produced the Egyptian-Tunisian-German-French feature SHARAF (2021) directed by Samir Nasr and shot in Tunisia.
