Elle vit entre Le Caire et New York et est diplômée de CalArts (California Institute of the Arts, USA) en 2017 avec un Master en réalisation. En tant que cinéaste indépendante, Sharine expérimente différentes stratégies pour apprendre comment créer au mieux le changement à travers le cinéma, en utilisant la confrontation, l’humour, la subtilité, la tendresse ou l’agressivité, dans le but de responsabiliser les femmes.
