Maite Alberdi

Réalisatrice et productrice nominée aux Academy Awards, Maite est la première Chilienne à être nominée aux Academy Awards. Elle a développé un style particulier qui se caractérise par le portrait intime de petits mondes, et sa voix unique l’a conduite à être l’une des voix les plus importantes du documentaire latino-américain. En 2011, elle a sorti son premier long métrage, THE LIFEGUARD. Par l’intermédiaire de Micromundo, sa société de production, elle a réalisé son deuxième film TEATIME, qui a remporté plus de 12 prix internationaux et a été nommé pour le Goya 2016 du meilleur film ibéro-américain. En 2016, elle a sorti le court métrage I AM NOT FROM HERE, qui a été nommé pour le European Films Award, et a présenté en avant-première son troisième long métrage THE GROWN-UPS, qui a reçu 10 prix internationaux. THE MOLE AGENT a été présenté en avant-première à Sundance 2020 et a été le premier documentaire chilien à être nommé aux Academy Awards®.

An Academy Award®-Nominated Director and Producer, Maite is the first Chilean woman to be nominated at the Academy Awards. She has developed a particular style that is characterised by the intimate portrait of small worlds, and her unique voice has led her to be one of the most important voices of Latin American documentary. In 2011 she released her first feature film, THE LIFEGUARD. Through Micromundo, her production company, she directed her second film TEATIME, which has won more than 12 international awards, and was nominated for the 2016 Goya for Best Ibero-American Film. In 2016 she released the short film I AM NOT FROM HERE which was nominated for the European Films Award, and premiered her third feature film THE GROWN-UPS which received 10 international awards. THE MOLE AGENT premiered in Sundance 2020 and was the first Chilean documentary to be nominated for an Academy Award®.
