Nakesa Ndou

Nakesa est une productrice et réalisatrice en devenir. Son premier film est un drame qui traite de la violence sexuelle à l’encontre des enfants. Nakesa s’intéresse au sujet du « regard féminin africain », à ce que cela signifie pour une femme africaine de créer des histoires centrées sur le corps féminin, et à la réalité de la femme africaine dans un contexte contemporain. Nakesa a obtenu une licence d’art dramatique à l’université Wits de Johannesburg et étudie actuellement une licence de production cinématographique à l’université du Cap.

Nakesa is an upcoming producer and director. Her debut film is a drama that deals with sexual violence against children. Nakesa is concerned about the subject of the’African Female Gaze,’ what it means for an African female, to create stories that are centred around the female body, and the reality of the African woman in a contemporary setting. Nakesa studied a BA in Dramatic Arts at Wits University in Johannesburg and is currently studying a BA in Film Production at the University of Cape Town.
