Dans un des batiments des Jardins de Carthage, quartier de Tunis créé par l’ancien régime mais dont la construction a été brutalement stoppée au début de la révolution, deux flics, Fatma et Batal, découvrent un corps calciné. Alors que les chantiers reprennent peu à peu, ils commencent à se pencher sur ce cas mystérieux. Quand un incident similaire se produit, l’enquête prend un tour déconcertant.
