Quatre femmes sont sommées par la justice de quitter leur maison qui appartient à leur famille depuis plusieurs générations. Comment ne pas réagir à un tel déni de justice ?

C’est la maison de la famille d’un artiste à Bamako, cette maison qui le rattache à ses parents, son histoire, ses souvenirs et dont ses sœurs sont expulsées, en dépit du droit, un jour de 2008.
C’est aussi, le Mali, son pays qu’il a vu basculer dans la guerre, au mépris des traditions de tolérance qui l’ont animé depuis l’indépendance.
Le combat pour la vérité pousse l’artiste à prendre la parole et à s’engager.

O Ka’ is the family of an artist in Bamako – that house which binds him to his parents, to his story, to his memories, and from which his sisters were expelled, regardless of the law, some day in 2008. It is also his country, Mali, which he saw sinking into war, in spite of the traditions of tolerance which had driven it since the independence.
