Olivier Stoltz

Né en 1969 à Bonn, Olivier Stoltz a vécu en Namibie à l’âge de treize ans pendant la guerre civile. Il a étudié en cinéma en Allemagne puis à Los Angeles. Principalement producteur, « Lost Children » est son premier film en tant que réalisateur.

Im Alter von 13 Jahren lebte er während des Bürgerkrieges in Namibia und hat dort den Alltag aus Anschlägen, Überfällen und Entführungen ganzer Schulklassen durch die Swapo erlebt. Er studierte Film an der HFF ?Konrad Wolf »und erhielt seinen MFA in ?Motion Picture Producing »im ?Peter-Stark-Program »an der USC in Los Angeles. Schon während seines Studiums produzierte er die ersten Kino- und Fernsehfilme und war als freier Mitarbeiter im Bereich Stoffentwicklung und Produktion bei verschiedenen deutschen und amerikanischen Produktionsfirmen tätig. Als Associate Producer war er 1996 an dem Kinofilm « Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door » beteiligt. Ein Jahr später gründete er die Dreamer Joint Venture Filmproduktion GmbH. Er hat mehrere Fernsehfilme und Dokumentationen für RTL, ProSieben, ZDF und Arte, sowie Kinofilme für Warner und Disney produziert. LOST CHILDREN ist Oliver Stoltz’ Debüt als Autor/ Regisseur.

Oliver Stoltz was born in 1969 in Bonn. When he was 13 years old, he lived in Namibia during the civil war and the every day life consisted of assaults, robberies and abductions of entire school classes by the Swapo. He studied film at the HFF « Konrad Wolf » and took his MFA in Motion Picture Producing in the Peter-Stark-Program at USC in Los Angeles. During his studies he already produced his first motion pictures and feature films. He worked in acquisition, script development- and production departments and as a producer for various German and American production and destribution companies. In 1996 he was associate producer for the motion picture Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door. One year later he founded Dreamer Joint Venture Filmproduktion GmbH. He produced various feature and documentary films for German television channels RTL, ProSieben, ZDF and Arte, as well as motion pictures for Warner and Disney. Lost Children is Oliver Stoltz’s debut as author and director.
