Ghazi Albuliwi

Ghazi M. Albuliwi est acteur, réalisateur, scénariste et producteur.

Né en Jordanie en 1976, il est arrivé aux États-Unis très jeune. Son premier long métrage, West Bank Brooklyn, a été présenté pour la première fois à l’occasion du Festival de Film AFI et ensuite dans de nombreux autres festivals comme Gen Art. Il a ensuite été distingué comme l’un des « 25 nouveaux visages du cinéma indépendant » par Filmmaker Magazine. En 2010, il a remporté le Creative Promises Award du Tribeca Film Institute remis par Robert De Niro [avec le scénario de Only in New York (Peace After Marriage), sorti en 2013]. Il a récemment été coscénariste de Héritage, le premier long métrage de Hiam Abbass, dans lequel il a également été acteur.

Later that year, he was named by Filmmaker Magazine as one of its « 25 New Faces of Independent Film ». In 2010, he won the Tribeca Film Institutes « Creative Promises Award » for his screenplay « Only in New York » from Robert de Niro during his film festival. Recently, he helped co-write and co-star Hiam Abbass first feature Inheritance.
