Abdelhamid Habati ( عبد الحمي)

Abdelhamid Habati (en arabe : عبد الحميد حباتي), né le 3 juin 1945 à Constantine est un comédien algérien.



Sa carrière artistique commence à Constantine, sa ville natale, au début des années soixante avec l’association « Al Hilal » ; avant de co-fonder le groupe « Al Bahalil » avec deux autres dramaturges, dont Bashir Bin Mohammed et Rashid Zaghimi. Pendant cette période, il a produit des pièces de théâtre dont « Youth’s Erreur » et « Le mariage est interdit ».



Après cela, il rejoint l' »Institut national des arts dramatiques » à la Tour Kifan en Algérie, pour obtenir son diplôme en 1964 dans le deuxième lot de sa remise de diplôme, avant de rejoindre le Théâtre national algérien en tant qu’acteur professionnel, et a interprété avec lui un certain nombre d’œuvres théâtrales, telles que « Le Sultan Al Hayer » et « Ce qui n’est pas bon mais juste » 1965. Habati est ensuite retourné à Constantine, et a participé avec certains de ses visages culturels à la création d’un certain nombre d’espaces culturels, tels que le « Centre culturel régional », le « Centre régional du travail culturel », et pendant cette période il a présenté des œuvres telles que : « La vie et la jeunesse », « L’école des menteurs », « Le Jour Noir », et « Étincelle dans le palais ».



Au début des années 70, avec l’ouverture de quatre théâtres de l’air, dont le théâtre Constantine dans le cadre de la décision de décentralisation en 1972, Habati rejoint le théâtre régional de Constantine, où il participe à un certain nombre d’œuvres en tant que réalisateur, acteur et écrivain ; parmi eux : « Cela répond à ceci » (1972), « Qui meurt quoi passes » (1977), « La loi et le peuple » (1978), « Le peuple de Houma » (1980) et « No case Lasting » (1983), « Diwan Lajb » (1996), « M. le Ministre» (1997) et « The Buggy » 2003.



Outre la scène, Abdelhamid Habati a participé à un certain nombre d’œuvres cinématographiques notables, telles que : « Le Moulin de Monsieur Fabre » d’Ahmed Rashdi (1986), « Patrouille A L'Est » d’Amar Alaskari (1971), et « Spacial » de Mohamed Hazoorly (1976), ainsi que « The Canadian » d’Ameur Bahloul (2008).



Abdelhamid Habati est décédé à l’âge de 74 ans le 6 mai 2020, après une carrière au cours de laquelle il a été récompensé doyen du théâtre et du cinéma en Algérie.

Abdelhamid Habati (Arabic: عبد الحميد حباتي), born June 3, 1945, in Constantine, is an Algerian actor.



His artistic career began in Constantine, his hometown, in the early 1960s with the "Al Hilal" association. He later co-founded the "Al Bahalil" group with two other playwrights, Bashir Bin Mohammed and Rashid Zaghimi. During this period, he produced plays including "Youth's Error" and "Marriage is Forbidden."



After that, he joined the National Institute of Dramatic Arts at the Kifan Tower in Algeria, graduating in 1964 in the second cohort of his class. He then joined the Algerian National Theatre as a professional actor, performing in several plays, including "Sultan Al Hayer" and "What Is Not Good But Just" (1965). Habati later returned to Constantine and, along with some of his cultural figures, helped establish several cultural spaces, such as the Regional Cultural Center and the Regional Center for Cultural Work. During this period, he presented works such as "Life and Youth," "The School for Liars," "The Black Day," and "Spark in the Palace."



In the early 1970s, with the opening of four air theatres, including the Constantine theatre as part of the decentralisation decision in 1972, Habati joined the Constantine regional theatre, where he participated in a number of works as a director, actor and writer; Among them are: "This Answers This" (1972), "Who Dies, What Passes" (1977), "The Law and the People" (1978), "The People of Houma" (1980), "No Case Lasting" (1983), "Diwan Lajb" (1996), "Mr. Minister" (1997), and "The Buggy" (2003).



In addition to his stage work, Abdelhamid Habati has appeared in several notable films, including: "Monsieur Fabre's Mill" by Ahmed Rashdi (1986), "Patrol to the East" by Amar Alaskari (1971), "Spatial" by Mohamed Hazoorly (1976), and "The Canadian" by Ameur Bahloul (2008).



Abdelhamid Habati passed away at the age of 74 on May 6, 2020, after a career during which he was awarded the title of dean of theater and cinema in Algeria.
