Il est diplômé de l’Institut Supérieur du Cinéma au Caire en 1996. Mahmood SOLIMAN est l’auteur de plusieurs nouvelles publiées dans divers périodiques du monde arabe en Afrique, en Asie et en Europe. Il a publié plusieurs essais en arabe ainsi que trois recueils de nouvelles. En 1993, il tourne son premier documentaire, Ramses II, en 16 mm. Après Time Out (1997), son premier court métrage de fiction sélectionné à Montpellier (Cinémed), il réalise un second documentaire Living Among US en 2004, puis un autre court métrage, Aujourd’hui 30 novembre, en 2005. Il revient au Cinémed de Montpellier avec Rouge et bleu (Azraa Wa Ahmar) court métrage de fiction réalisé en 2006 (11 mn 30 s).

Il travaille actuellement sur le scénario de son premier long métrage.

Soliman graduated from the Higher Cinema Institute in Cairo in 1997 and has written, directed and produced three short films to date. He is currently working on the screenplay of his first feature film and has published essays in several Arab publications as well as three collections of short stories.
His documentary feature Living Among Us was awarded Best Documentary at the National Festival for Cinema, the Ismailia International Film Festival, and the Corto Imola International Short Film Festival; and also won the Golden Prize at the Al-Jazeera Documentary Film Festival. He appeared at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2006 with his film Today 30 November.

Mahmoud Soleiman est diplômé en réalisation de l’Institut Supérieur du Cinéma du Caire en 1996. Il a publié : Êtres de nuit (1991), Les Couleurs unies (2003), Un camion gigantesque (2004), ainsi que plusieurs études littéraires.
