A 21 ans, pour aller au bout de sa vision de l’amour, Hiyam décide d’aller à l’encontre d’une société corsetée par de cruelles traditions.

Hiyam, une jeune ouvrière, vit dans un quartier de la classe moyene, avec ses collègues pour voisins. Elle est clairement sous le charme de Salah, le nouveau superviseur de l’usine qui ne cache pas son admiration pour elle. Elle croit que l’amour peut transcender les différences de classe entre eux. Quand un test de grossesse est découverte dans un coin de l’usine, sa famille proche et ses amis l’accusent d’avoir pêché. Hiyam décide de ne pas se défendre paye un prix énorme dans une société qui n’accepte pas les femmes independantes. L’OUVRIERE (FACTORY GIRL) examines les changements qui se déroulent dans sa vie sur les quatre saisons de l’année. Entre le moment où elle tombe amoureuse et celui où elle a le coeur brisé, sa vie est bouleversée.

Factory Girl examines the changes that take place in her life over the four seasons of the year. From falling in love to facing heartbreak, her life comes around full circle by the end of the year.

تدور أحداث فتاة المصنع حول هيام، وهي فتاة في الواحد والعشرين ربيعاً، تعمل كغيرها من بنات حيها الفقير في مصنع ملابس، تتفتح روحها ومشاعرها بانجذابها لتجربة حب تعيشها كرحلة ومغامرة بدون أن تدري أنها تقف وحيدة أمام مجتمع يخاف من الحب ويخبئ رأسه في رمال تقاليده البالية والقاسية.
