Khalid Abdalla

Acteur, réalisateur et producteur britannique d’origine égyptienne.
Il est né le 26 octobre 1981, à Glasgow, Royaume-Uni.
Il joue les rôles principaux dans The Kite Runner, United 93 et Green Zone. Inspiré par le militantisme de son père qui fut emprisonné en Egypte dans les années 70 et a vécu en exil, Khalid quitte sa vie à Londres pour rejoindre au Caire la révolution qui va faire tomber Hosni Moubarak, découvrant ainsi un sens profond à son identité égyptienne. Il est une des quatre personnages que suit The Square / Al Midan (documentaire de la réalisatrice Jehane Noujaim, nominé aux Oscar 2013).

Actor, Producer, Filmmaker, founder and member of @mosireen collective (Egypt). Grandson and son of political prisoners.
British-Egyptian actor and filmmaker, star of The Kite Runner, United 93 and Green Zone. Inspired by the activism of his father who was jailed in Egypt in the 70s and has lived in exile, Khalid leaves his life in London to join the revolution, discovering a profound sense of his Egyptian identity in the process. He stars in The Square / Al Midan (documentary directed by Jehane Noujaim, Oscar-Nominated Documentary 2013)
