La cinquième édition du Festival SÃO TOMÉ FILM a lieu du 26 au 29 Octobre 2022. Cette année le festival de cinéma présente une Compétition Internationale, un Compétition Africaine ainsi qu’une Compétition de Courts-Métrages santoméens.

Founded in 2014, SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM is promoted by ASSECOM-CA
São Tomé FestFilm – São Tomé and Príncipe International Film Festival, created and promoted by ASSECOM (São Tomé Association of Multimedia Entertainment and Communication – Cultural and Artistic), founded by a group of São Tomé and Portuguese students in 2014.

The Festival was created with the objective of developing and promoting projects in the areas of cinema, television, video and multimedia, by offering educational activities such as workshops and conferences in the aforementioned areas, and also by placing São Tomé and Príncipe on the route of Cinema Internacional, seeking to make it a meeting point for all those who enjoy cinema. The festival wants to awaken young people’s interest in free creation, valuing the historical and cultural origins of São Tomé and Príncipe through cinema, as well as the Portuguese language.

SÃO TOMÉ FESFILM offers the general public a wide range of independent production films, bringing quality cinema and cinematographies little known in the traditional market.

In addition to the local audience, the festival’s mission is to attract filmmakers from all over the world to the archipelago, as well as tourists who visit this small archipelago.

We are very pleased, year after year, to work and share our strategic vision, in the dissemination and cultural diversification in São Tomé and Príncipe. In this way, we joined several national and international partners to promote the independent cinema of this archipelago.

Fundado em 2014, o SÃO TOMÉ FESTFILM é dinamizado pela ASSECOM-CA
São Tomé FestFilm – Festival de Cinema Internacional de São Tomé e Príncipe, criado e promovido pela ASSECOM (Associação São-Tomense de Entretenimento e Comunicação Multimédia – Cultural e Artístico), fundada por um grupo de estudantes de são-tomense e portugueses em 2014.

O Festival surge com o objetivo de desenvolver e dinamizar projetos nas áreas do cinema, televisão, vídeo e multimédia, através de oferta de atividades educativas como a realização de workshops e conferências nas áreas mencionadas, passa também por colocar São Tomé e Príncipe na rota do Cinema Internacional, na procura de o tornar um ponto de encontro para todos aqueles que gostam de cinema. O festival deseja despertar nos jovens o interesse pela livre criação valorizando as origens históricas e culturais de São Tomé e Príncipe através do cinema, bem como da língua Portuguesa.

O SÃO TOMÉ FESFILM oferece ao público em geral uma vasta grelha de filmes de produção independente, trazendo um cinema de qualidade e cinematografias pouco conhecidas no mercado tradicional.

Para além do público local, o festival tem como missão procura atrair para o arquipélago cineastas de todo mundo, bem como turistas que visitam este pequeno arquipélago.
