Synopsis :
La Cité de Dieu est un HLM construit dans les années 60 et devenu un des endroits les plus dangereux de Rio de Janeiro au début des années 80.
Fusée, un garçon sensible et trop peureux pour devenir un criminel, mais trop intelligent pour se satisfaire de petits boulots mal payés. Il grandit dans cet endroit violent, où tout est contre lui. Mais il découvre qu’il peut voir la réalité différemment : d’un point de vue artistique. Il va finir par devenir photographe. C’est sa rédemption.

Synopsis :
Cidade de Deus is a housing project built in the 1960’s that, in the early 80’s became one of the most dangerous places in Rio de Janeiro. Fusée, too scared and too sensible to become a criminal, but too intelligent to work small jobs that pay badly. He grows up in this violent place where everything is against him. But he discovers that he can see reality differently: from an artist’s point of view. He will eventually become a photographer. This, is his redemption.
