Alpha et Amadou, deux jeunes garçons passionnés par le cinématographe pour l'un et par les chevaux pour l'autre, fabriquent un cinématographe en carton. Alors qu'ils projettent l'image d'un cheval blanc magique sur un drap pour tous leurs amis, l'animal s'échappe de l'écran et prend vie…. Dès lors, rêve et réalité mettent en émoi leur école, puis toute la petite ville de Bobo-Dioulasso. Les parents et les militaires interviennent pour remettre de l'ordre, en vain : le cheval restera libre comme l'air.

Some children share a passion for the cinema and for horses. They make a cardboard cinematograph, and while they are showing their film, a magical white horse appears. From then on, dream and reality become intermingled, creating uproar in the school, then in all the little town of Bobo-Dioulasso. First parents, then soldiers try to restore order – in vain.
